Studio Etiquette

Grounded Stability, Harmonious Flow, and Vibrant Renewal

At Spring Yoga, we believe your experience begins the moment you step inside. Please help us to maintain a calm, clean, and relaxing space for everyone by observing the following guidelines.

Before Class: Cultivating Grounded Stability

  • Punctuality is Key: The door to the yoga room closes promptly at the scheduled start time to honor the class environment and teacher. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before class to allow yourself time to settle. Late entry is not permitted.
  • Check-In First: Please check in at the self-serve check-in or with the teacher. If this is your first time attending Spring Yoga please introduce yourself to the teacher.
  • Quiet Zone: Once you enter the studio space, please keep conversations to a minimum. Use this time to settle your mind, breathe, and establish your grounded stability.
  • Shoe & Phone Sanctuary: Kindly leave shoes, coats, and all electronic devices (set to silent or off) in the designated cubbies. This allows you to unplug and be fully present.
  • Parking: Please be considerate and respectful to our neighbours and community. There is limited parking in the shop arcade that is used by all shops. Please consider walking, cycling, or parking elsewhere nearby.

During Class: Embracing Harmonious Flow

  • Respect the Space: Set up your mat quietly. Be mindful of spacing to allow for ease of movement and a harmonious flow for yourself and others.
  • Respect the Community and Space: Cultivate a supportive atmosphere by practicing with kindness and respect for your fellow students. Set up your mat mindfully, ensuring comfortable spacing for all, which contributes to the harmonious flow of the class and strengthens our Community & Connection.
  • Listen to Your Body: You are your best teacher. Practice at your own pace and honor your limits. Take breaks, modify, or move into a restful pose whenever you need to.
  • Scent-Free: Please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes, colognes, or scented lotions. This helps us maintain a clean, refreshing environment for all students.
  • Savasana for Renewal: This final rest is essential for integrating your practice and paving the way for vibrant renewal. Please remain on your mat until Savasana is complete, allowing yourself and others the gift of stillness.

After Class: Community & Connection

  • Clean Up: Please gently clean your mat with the provided cleaning products. If you used any studio props (mats, blocks, blankets), please gently clean them with the provided cleaning products and return them neatly to their designated area.
  • Connect Quietly: Our teachers and staff are happy to answer your questions and foster community & connection after class, but please do so quietly as others exit.

Thank you for cultivating your balance and flow with our community!
